Who we are
This website is operated by Backcountry Excavation LLC, a Washington limited liability company (UBI 606215064) based in Chelan, Washington. You can reach us on (509) 421-1539.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us:
- Estimate requests. If you fill in the estimate form we receive your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the project location, the type of work, your description of the job, your timeline , and your preferred way of being contacted.
- Calls and texts. If you call or text us, we have your phone number and whatever you tell us.
This website currently runs no analytics and sets no cookies of its own. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does.
What we use it for
We use what you send us to answer your enquiry, quote the work, carry out the work if you hire us, and keep the records a contractor is required to keep. That is it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, ever.
- We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry passes through the service that delivers our web form and our email provider, and may be shared with a supplier or subcontractor where that is genuinely needed to do your job, such as a septic designer or a utility locator, for example. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept while they might still be useful and then deleted. Records relating to work we carried out are kept for as long as Washington law and our insurer require.
Your choices
Ask us to stop contacting you and we will. Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, and we will do that too. Call (509) 421-1539. Washington residents may have additional rights under state law.
Text messages
If you give us your number through the chat widget on this site, or by calling or texting us, we may send you text messages about your project. That includes replies when we miss your call, estimate follow ups, scheduling and arrival times, and from time to time a note about our availability or a request for a review.
Message frequency varies by job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages and HELP for help. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of hiring us. We never sell or share your number with anyone for their own marketing.
Children
This site is meant for people hiring a contractor. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the review date at the top.
